Dr Phillip Lasater is McDonald Agape Professor of Old Testament Theology at the Angelicum (Rome) as well as a Fellow of Blackfriars Hall (Oxford). From 2021–2024 he taught and lectured in the areas of Hebrew Bible and ancient Judaism at Worcester College and in the Faculty of Theology and Religion; he has also taught at the Universität Zürich (2015–2021), where he completed his PhD.
Dr Lasater’s research is a careful reflection as well as reconsideration of “settled” matters in biblical studies, particularly as he pursues integration with legal studies and legal anthropology.
